What can I say about Ed and his crew? They didn’t just remove my giant gum tree… they basically performed an exorcism on my backyard and left it looking like it had been Photoshopped! Picture this: a massive, grumpy old eucalyptus that had been terrorising my property for years. Dropping branches like passive-aggressive hints, shedding bark everywhere, and generally acting like it owned the place (which, to be fair, it kinda did). I was one strong wind away from starring in my own “When Trees Attack” documentary. Then Essential Tree Care swooped in like the Avengers of arborists. From the first message, the communication was ridiculously good – prompt, friendly, zero salesy nonsense, and they actually answered my paranoid questions without making me feel like a numpty. Quote was fair, booking was seamless, and they turned up bang on time looking like they’d just stepped out of an occupational health & safety poster (but way more likeable). The crew? Absolute gems. Polite, chatty in the best way, cracking jokes while dangling from ropes like caffeinated Spider-Men. They treated that monster gum with surgical precision. Section by section, no drama, no lawn carnage, no “oops we dropped a branch through your roof” moments. Branches chipped on site, everything hauled away, and then – the real magic – they left the yard cleaner than when they arrived and left me firewood for years to come in manageable pieces. I’m talking spotless. Not a single rogue leaf, twig, or gum nut in sight for me to trip over. My grass looked like it had just had a Brazilian wax and a blow-dry. I half expected them to start vacuuming the fence. If your backyard has a delinquent tree that needs to be shown the door, call Essential Tree Care. Ed and his team were absolutely fantastic! They did an excellent job from start to finish and they were lovely people as well. Professional, reliable and genuinely caring about the quality of their work and making sure that my mother was happy with the results - which she was. I couldn’t recommend them more highly!

Ed and team have just completed the trimming/cutting of trees overhanging from a neighbouring property. I found Ed to be extremely professional, responsive, an excellent communicator. Also very personable. He and team did a very good job, quickly and efficiently. Did a great job of cleaning up after the job was done, both on our Lot and of the communal property. We would have no hesitation in recommending him.

Very pleased with the work Ed and his team did today. They removed 8 mature Golden Sheen including shredding stumps, and significantly cut back and reshaped a large Manchurian Pear. Team was polite, professional and hard working, and did a great job cleaning up afterwards. All for a fair and reasonable price. Would definitely use Essential Tree Care again.

We've had Ed and the team out at our property a few times, Ed even attended on a Sunday when we had a large branch break and destroy our trampoline. I couldn't recommended ETC enough... they're prompt, reasonably priced, effective communicators and they clean up after themselves (unlike other trades). Look no further than these guys, you would just be wasting your own time.

A big shout out for Ed and his team for their excellent work of removing one tree and pruning another large and difficult tree. Throughout the process they showed respect for the property and made sure that no mess was left behind. Ed communicated perfectly from quotation time to completion of the job. Everyone was friendly and motivated to do a good job.
