Shaun was magnificent taking down branches off our huge pine tree. The drop zone was barely 1.5 m wide between the shed and our house and he meticulously and painstakingly lowered each limb to the ground, after cutting them at a great height. 8 hours later not a scratch on the house and left it perfectly tidy and worth every penny.

Sean and his team were very professional and caring of our property when efficiently removing a huge gum branch that had fallen in our yard. Highly recommended.

I can highly recommend the reliability, workmanship and customer service from this very professional business. Stumped Tree Services and their team trimmed 20-30m high trees along our 140m long driveway fence line and above our house from an EWP. No damage to property, safe interactions with the neighbouring school, and I got exactly what I asked for.

The guys from Stumped are the best. They are very professional in their work. I would 100 percent recommend them if you need some tree work. I would not hesitate to call them in again if I need trees removed. They have done the nearest job and did an amazing clean up after taking out the stumps. Definitely give these guys a call .

Arborist costs & guides

Frequently asked questions

How much do arborists typically charge?
Arborist costs vary widely depending on the type and scale of work. Factors such as tree size and species, site access, whether removal and stump grinding are needed, required equipment and disposal all affect the total. Most quotes separate a call-out component from labour and materials, and after-hours or emergency jobs generally attract higher rates. The live pricing on this page shows current estimates for different job types.
Do arborists charge call-out fees?
Many arborists charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, which is usually separate from labour and materials. That fee typically covers travel and the initial site inspection, and smaller or remote jobs may be subject to a minimum charge. It's worth confirming whether a call-out fee is included in any quote you receive.
When do arborists need a licence?
Arborists often need registration or specific contractor credentials for higher-risk, large-scale or regulated tree work. Where the scope overlaps with regulated building or contractor work, providers should hold a valid state contractor or builder credential and comply with local council permit requirements for protected trees. For higher‑risk tasks, look for evidence of public liability insurance, documented work-at-heights controls and SWMS.
How do I get a quote from Stumped Tree Services?
