Steve arrived and immediately set too trimming back about 50% - 60% of an 8mtr x 8mtr Lilly pilly tree plus several similar height Pencil pines and removing one. All debris was removed and all with little effect on the surrounding garden below. The cost and workmanship was excellent so thank you to Steve for a job well done.

Steven did a great job & listened & understood my requirements: very easy to communicate with & pleasant. Some tree services people get carried away but Steven only removed the sections I identified. He turned up on time & cleaned up after the job. I would definitely use him again. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend Steven. He returned my SMS asking for a quote (some people don't even care to reply), gave me a competitive price, squeezed my job into his busy schedule. He showed up on time, cut 10 trees in my back yard, and cleaned the mess at the end. He is very friendly and easy to communicate. I'm a very happy customer! Thank you Steven!

Steven had the huge job of cutting trees that was encroaching on our house structure. He was always on time, got straight into the job and constantly communicated with us. He worked tirelessly, did an excellent job and has a very polite manner. I can definitely recommend Steven and Quick Cut Services.

Frequently asked questions

How much do arborists typically charge?
Arborist costs vary widely depending on the type and scale of work. Factors such as tree size and species, site access, whether removal and stump grinding are needed, required equipment and disposal all affect the total. Most quotes separate a call-out component from labour and materials, and after-hours or emergency jobs generally attract higher rates. The live pricing on this page shows current estimates for different job types.
Do arborists charge call-out fees?
Many arborists charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, which is usually separate from labour and materials. That fee typically covers travel and the initial site inspection, and smaller or remote jobs may be subject to a minimum charge. It's worth confirming whether a call-out fee is included in any quote you receive.
When do arborists need a licence?
Arborists often need registration or specific contractor credentials for higher-risk, large-scale or regulated tree work. Where the scope overlaps with regulated building or contractor work, providers should hold a valid state contractor or builder credential and comply with local council permit requirements for protected trees. For higher‑risk tasks, look for evidence of public liability insurance, documented work-at-heights controls and SWMS.
