Had two trees removed from my property, one was a Bloodwood on a good lean towards our house next to powerlines, the other a tall skinny Bloodwood with fungus issues next to our garage and neighbouring house. Carl and his team worked well to remove the trees safely and quickly without damage to either property, then cleaned up the area after cutting the trees into firewood and mulch at request. Highly recommend and would happily do business again next time I have tree issues.

Phenomenal! Carl and his team removed a 20m beast of a radiata pine that was 1.5m from our house and 2m from the neighbours. It was a big tricky job that was handled expertly and efficiently. Carl implemented several ‘workarounds’ to keep costs down and minimise impact to the street/neighbours/area. The whole team were fun and friendly and dealt with challenges on the day with good humour and aplomb. Fantastic value and excellent service. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Great guys, professional, know what they are doing. It's also great that they have a mobile mill too which is a helpful service.

Arborist costs & guides

Frequently asked questions

How much do arborists typically charge?
Arborist costs vary widely depending on the type and scale of work. Factors such as tree size and species, site access, whether removal and stump grinding are needed, required equipment and disposal all affect the total. Most quotes separate a call-out component from labour and materials, and after-hours or emergency jobs generally attract higher rates. The live pricing on this page shows current estimates for different job types.
Do arborists charge call-out fees?
Many arborists charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, which is usually separate from labour and materials. That fee typically covers travel and the initial site inspection, and smaller or remote jobs may be subject to a minimum charge. It's worth confirming whether a call-out fee is included in any quote you receive.
When do arborists need a licence?
Arborists often need registration or specific contractor credentials for higher-risk, large-scale or regulated tree work. Where the scope overlaps with regulated building or contractor work, providers should hold a valid state contractor or builder credential and comply with local council permit requirements for protected trees. For higher‑risk tasks, look for evidence of public liability insurance, documented work-at-heights controls and SWMS.
