Scott’s number was given to me by a friend who had used him many years ago and recommended him. Scott always turns up when he says he will. He is well priced, efficient and he and his team are very polite and friendly. I highly recommend calling him if you need any tree removal done.

Scott and his team are awesome! I was impressed with Scott’s knowledge of the trees, council rules and respect for the environment. I used the team to remove 2 large trees and 6 small trees in my courtyard apartment which was complicated and difficult to get to - yet they brought in all the necessary equipment and had the qualified manpower for the job. They were extremely considerate of my neighbours, the common property, and my own property (even holding up a tarp when grinding the stump to minimise mess). They went above and beyond in cleaning and rubbish removal and making good the area, it was like they had never been. I strongly recommend them.

Scott and his team did an excellent job removing trees, bushes and grinding the stumps. Very efficient and left the site tidy, a friendly and professional service.

Frequently asked questions

How much do arborists typically charge?
Arborist costs vary widely depending on the type and scale of work. Factors such as tree size and species, site access, whether removal and stump grinding are needed, required equipment and disposal all affect the total. Most quotes separate a call-out component from labour and materials, and after-hours or emergency jobs generally attract higher rates. The live pricing on this page shows current estimates for different job types.
Do arborists charge call-out fees?
Many arborists charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, which is usually separate from labour and materials. That fee typically covers travel and the initial site inspection, and smaller or remote jobs may be subject to a minimum charge. It's worth confirming whether a call-out fee is included in any quote you receive.
When do arborists need a licence?
Arborists often need registration or specific contractor credentials for higher-risk, large-scale or regulated tree work. Where the scope overlaps with regulated building or contractor work, providers should hold a valid state contractor or builder credential and comply with local council permit requirements for protected trees. For higher‑risk tasks, look for evidence of public liability insurance, documented work-at-heights controls and SWMS.
