The best around! David drove around to our house with some tools and good vibes, what a cool guy. Fixed our dishwasher in no time while tolerating our children trying to get his attention. Smashed it.

Frequently asked questions

How much do appliance specialists typically charge?
Costs for appliance specialists vary widely depending on the appliance type and job complexity. Simple plug-in installs or basic diagnostics are generally less than repairs that involve electrical or refrigerant work, which often require registered technicians. Most quotes combine a call-out fee, labour time and parts, with after-hours work usually costing more. This page shows live pricing for your area to help compare estimates.
Do appliance specialists charge call-out fees?
Yes — call-out fees are common to cover attendance and the on-site diagnosis. The call-out is usually separate from hourly labour and parts costs, and providers often apply higher rates for after-hours or emergency visits. It's worth confirming whether the quoted price includes the call-out fee and any minimum charge.
When do appliance specialists need a licence?
When electrical wiring, fixed appliance connections or refrigerant handling is involved, appliance specialists usually need to be registered or hold a relevant licence in the applicable state. Refrigerant work typically requires an ARC Tick or equivalent refrigerant licence, and electrical scope should be covered by a valid state electrical/appliance licence number. Registration rules vary by state and territory, so it's sensible to check credentials and that the provider can show their licence on quotes or invoices when regulated work is required.
How do I get a quote from Legacy Appliance Repairs?
