Very happy with the results of the hydroxyl unit we rented. Our caravan battery overheated and there was an awful smell. Once that dissipated we were left with a suphur smell in the mattress, foam seating etc. We tried airing, we tried a number of things and although it was slightly less there is no way we could get the smell out. We contacted FRA with our issue, they said the hydroxyl unit would work and thankfully it did. We carefully followed their instructions and once we returned the unit had a fan running in the van for a few days. Perfect! Staff were helpful and knowledgeable and the FRA was considerably cheaper and renting elsewhere. We can now use our caravan again.

Our house got flooded in due to a burst in a bidet attached to our toilets and ash came to our our property to check out how bad it was. He was honestly the best, such a genuine person and we absolutely adore him. He’s passionate about what he does and he does it for the right reasons. It truly shows that this job is for him. Now fingers crossed, we are now waiting for our insurance company to take care of the rest

Waterproofing costs & guides

Frequently asked questions

How much do waterproofers typically charge?
Costs for waterproofing jobs vary depending on the type of job and its complexity. Area, access, the membrane system specified and whether remedial work or after-hours attendance is needed all influence price. This page shows live pricing for typical jobs to help you compare quotes.
Do waterproofers charge call-out fees?
Many waterproofers charge a call-out fee to attend and carry out an initial inspection, which covers travel and the diagnostic visit. Call-out fees are usually separate from labour and materials costs. It's wise to confirm any call-out terms when requesting a quote.
Do waterproofers need a licence in Australia?
Yes. Waterproofing work generally must be carried out by a licensed waterproofer in every Australian state and territory; in NSW, licences are managed by NSW Fair Trading. Providers should be able to supply their licence number and written membrane system specifications. It's common for reputable waterproofers to hold public liability insurance and for site workers to have a White Card.
