Once the magnesite (cork looking product) was removed from my unit, the engineer identified concrete spalling. The engineer sent out a request for tender. Three tenders were submitted with the work quotes being around $23K, $35K, $50K. The cost of rectifying concrete spalling in class 2 buildings. Qualifications and expertise is imperative. There were 2 patches in the bedroom and two patches in the kitchen. The bedroom was cut back to the rebar, thankfully this did not need to be replaced. An anti rust product was applied and then all patches filled. Curing time of 7 days before floor leveling compound can be applied. Atomic Projects were able to complete this project within the span of one week. Supervisor Ogn and team were professional and kept me updated and explained the process through out. With all the new regulations for Class 2 buildings, ensuring this was done correctly was most important. I'm so grateful Ben and the Atomic Project team were able to attend my lot and complete so quickly. Professionalism, instructions, courtesy to other residents, signage and follow up calls all included. Job well done!
