Andrew, the GEM Energy sales consultant, was very open and honest with me about the pros and cons of the components he walked me through, along with the sizing and expected returns on my system. He was very responsive to my subsequent questions, which gave me confidence to press ahead. The installation manager Sophie then took over and kept me informed throughout, with the install scheduled for a few weeks later. The installers arrived on time, were very polite and respectful, and completed their work in good time. I received notification from Energex a day or two later with an appointment for the meter upgrade, which occurred as scheduled. The system has now been live for a couple of weeks, and I'm thrilled with the results! I couldn't have asked for a smoother process from start to finish.

I decided to get a quote from Gem Energy based on a recommendation from a friend of mine, who had installed solar a few months prior. I got a quote within hours from my first call and, from there on, always had reasonably quick replies to my queries via email. Since I had a specific budget in mind and a good idea of what that could get me, I started comparing the price, install reviews and the quality of the pre-sales service, with the quotes I got from another 5 companies. Gem was running an EOFY special at the time, and included an extra 2y warranty on the Sungrow inverter. With all that combined, I decided to go with them and do not regret it until now. I had my 6.6kw system installed within 5 weeks of going into contract. Installers showed up on time on the day of the install, and took me through the install process with details. The install looks nice from outside/inside the roof. I can't comment on the performance of the system yet, as it's still not ON. I am waiting on Origin to replace my current meter with a solar compatible one. Thanks Andrew, Sophie, Shunk and the team for a great customer service!

Cannot recommend Gem (RACQ) more. We put in a 13.2Kw solar system, 10KW inverter and 9.2kw battery. Sales person Leo was outstanding, helpful and professional. Let the product sell itself. Darby our project manager was spot on. Michael and his team (Contract installers) were professional, helpful and just amazing. Product quality looks great and so far works like a gem (no punt intended)🙄. Guys cannot thank you enough. Would not go anywhere else. As for the installers, Gem I advise you use them as much as possible, updated review now and must say the system has not missed a beat. My advise to anyone is, do t go anywhere else.

We just installed a 10kW system / 8kW inverter on our residential property near Brisbane. After getting prices from a few local companies, a friend recommended GEM Energy. They offered one of the best prices together with a better quality system (Sunpower mono/Sungrow). The whole process was handled professionally from start to finish.
