He suggested a cost effective solution for the sheds at the back of the property, saving us $. A skylight was custom made and fitted seamlessly as the new roof was constructed. There was no drama when we decided to also replace the gutters and add ember guards, towards the end of the job, and any unforeseen issues, such as a broken down-pipe, were fixed with minimum fuss. Sebastian’s team are knowledgeable, courteous and always punctual, happy to explain their work processes and offer updates on the progress of the job. They demonstrate a high level of craftsmanship and maintain a safe work site with scaffolding and materials securely stowed. We were definitely daunted by the thought of replacing the roof, but it has been the smoothest project so far in the challenge to renovate a 1920’s weatherboard cottage. Excellent job by Sebastian's team. And worth the wait from initial quote meeting, and then job to start ( 6 months each). Excellent communication and team professional and polite, and meticulous in cleaning up post job. My roof was 70 years old and a rusted mess (LHS photo) . The new roof makes a huge positive difference as does the insultation. Highly recommend.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned while living in my 106 year old Moonah home it’s that NOTHING is easy and this was certainly the case with my corrugated roof. After several failed attempts by inferior contractors to fix the many leaks and other issues, SDM Roofing was my last hope. They came through with flying colours! Sebastian, Malte and their wonderful, multinational crew were an absolute pleasure to work with and they did a phenomenal job on a difficult house. My new, properly installed roof with insulated foil blanket, thick R5 batts, fully meshed gutters and fascia coverings looks stunning and to my great relief, all the leaks, condensation and ventilation issues now appear to be resolved! SDM was very professional and thorough from the quote stage all the way through to the after job cleanup providing excellent advice, communication and reasonable pricing. The only minor negative in the whole process was that due to their huge popularity, they book out well in advance, which means there was a rather long wait time, but that only reinforces the fact that they are extremely good at what they do. Five stars, I would highly recommend them to any and all in need of roof care in Hobart!
