O'Gorman Solid Plastering

Joe O'Gorman is a craftsman. He repaired what we thought were insurmountable problems. He repaired major structural cracks that we had due to restumpeing and underpinning and it is seamless .Perfection. He also replaced old cornices for larger more detailed Victorian styles which lifted our main room to another level. Joe is a great communicator He turns up on time ,works with minimal mess and he completed the job on time. We were extremely fortunate that Joe could schedule us in. I had acquired a 1914 home in Bacchus Marsh. Ground movement and restumping lead to small cracks opening into large cracks in both the exterior and interior.The expertise needed to repair lath plaster was nowhere to be found in my vicinity. Joe was a lifesaver. He agreed to check out, what I was lead to believe, were insurmountable problems. Joe wasn’t the least fazed as he explained the process. I still can’t believe my luck when he agreed to make the 2hour 30 min round trip to Bacchus Marsh each day. Joe O’Gorman is a real gem. A skilled, efficient artisan who takes pride in his work. Joe's work on the family home in a heritage overlay area in Camberwell is simply stunning. The house had suffered from a lack of maintenance over many years, and had some serious cracking issues following underpinning, with slabs of plaster falling off the wall in a couple of areas. Joe quoted us on installation of helical bars to stabilise the walls and restore the finishes over the course of a month. The end result is nothing short of stunning. The walls are returned to their original textures and finishes and you'd never know the amount of work that went into it unless you'd seen it before. Joe's attention to detail and quality workmanship is second to none and his price was very very reasonable. And he's a lovely bloke. I can't recommend him highly enough - Joe's awesome.

Joe did such a wonderful job at our house. He made the cracked walls and ceilings of our old Victorian home look like new again! We can't believe how smooth they are now. We're thrilled with his work. He was very reliable and takes pride in his work. He was an absolute pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend him.

Joe is a superb craftsman. He did an amazing amount of stunning work for us on our old bluestone some 6 years back and we needed him again. It was wonderful for Joe to check out how his handiwork stood up (brilliantly) and it was so comfortable to have him back doing some bespoke work around the bluestone buildings windows. A real gentleman. Cannot recommend him too highly.

Joe is honest and open and his gentle and pleasant nature puts you at ease knowing that he truly has a genuine interest in making your works a positive experience.
