We recently had a move between properties and couldn't be more satisfied. The estimated quote was very close to what was provided with only a half hour extra required. The removalists George and Lou were professional, efficient and friendly. They even managed to get a large fridge through an otherwise impossible doorway - couldn't have managed without them. Thank you and will absolutely be a return customer if ever needed.

Frequently asked questions

How much do removalists typically charge?
Removalist costs vary widely depending on job type, distance, crew hours, packing services and access complexity. Quotes commonly combine a call-out or minimum charge with hourly crew rates, plus materials and any travel or after-hours premiums. This page shows live pricing to help you compare options for your specific move.
Do removalists charge call-out fees?
Yes — many removalists charge a call-out or minimum attendance fee that is listed separately from labour and materials. After-hours or weekend work is often charged at a higher rate, sometimes as a multiplier of the standard hourly rate. Always confirm whether a quote includes travel or minimum charges.
What qualifications should I look for in a removalist?
Removalists aren't government-licenced, so look for industry credentials and verifiable business registration such as AFRA or MSAA affiliation and an active ABN. AFRA accreditation is voluntary but often indicates audited equipment, staff training and insurance standards; also check for public liability, carriers' liability and goods-in-transit cover.
How do I get a quote from Moves & More?
