We are the owners of Haven Waters Motel in North Haven. When we purchased the business the previous owners had the pool resurfaced in Oct 2017. When we took over in April 2021 the surface of the pool had already started to peel. The company that had done that work was followed up to arrange warranty repairs however in the end they went into receivership. After talking to our pool service company and reading reviews we decided to go with a pool liner. We could not be happier. Lee was so easy to deal with and the process seamless. And now we have an amazing looking pool and we are very sure this will last a lot longer than the previous product. Before and after photos below. Just so happy.

Absolute legends! So grateful for the hard work and dedication of Jesse and Lee to find 3 separate leaks in our plumbing and repair them. It was a big mission and they went above and beyond to get the job done, amazingly with smiles on their faces throughout. After the job was completed, they followed up with a phone call to see how everything was tracking and give advice on managing the pool. We are beyond grateful to have our pool back in working order after two Summers without it. Thanks Jesse and Lee!

Great service from Swimming Pool Leak Detection & Liners. When Lee Pollard returned to repair the crack he'd detected in our fibreglass pool, a long ridge in the base had also appeared. This was due to pressure from the surrounding clay ground after excessive rain. Lee dealt with the new problem and took measurements for the installation of a vinyl liner. The finished item looks terrific and will reduce the effects of any future ground movement. Lee's suggestion of a sump and pump to reduce any future ground water build up is also welcome. Lee had previously installed a liner for us at another property and we had no hesitation in calling him again.

Frequently asked questions

How much do pool technicians typically charge?

Costs vary widely depending on the type of job, its complexity and whether parts or full equipment replacements are required. Call-out fees, diagnostic time and after‑hours attendance often increase the total. This page shows live pricing to help you compare quotes for your specific job.

Do pool technicians charge call-out fees?

Many pool technicians charge a call-out fee to attend and carry out an initial diagnosis, which is usually separate from hourly labour and parts. After‑hours or emergency visits often attract higher rates. Check the live pricing shown on the page and confirm any call-out or minimum fees when getting quotes.

When do pool technicians need a licence?

Registration or a contractor licence is required in some states, with NSW, QLD and SA commonly requiring a current state contractor licence that can be verified on the public register. Whether a licence is needed often depends on the scope of work, so it's wise to ask for licence details and proof of insurance for larger installations or contractor-level work. Industry memberships and qualifications such as SPASA membership and Certificate III or IV in Swimming Pool and Spa Service are common indicators of experience.
