I emailed Adam to come around and remove a hydronic radiator for a bathroom renovation I am having done. Adam did not turn his nose up at such a small job, instead he asked if it was okay if he could come around the next day. I kid you not. He was fast, efficient, and knowledgeable about hydronics. And enthusiastic too - Adam loves his work.

I had a problem with a leaking boiler at a peak time - school holidays and in the middle of a very cold Winter - and the firm who installed the unit several years ago didn’t reply to my calls or emails. So after a recommendation from another busy plumber, I contacted Adam who was a HUGE help, going out of his way to diagnose the problem and recommending the correct part required (from photos and history). As it happened the part was very hard to get and I eventually tracked it down at the firm who had originally installed my unit. And they insisted on doing the repair. I would definitely recommend Adam for his professional and caring approach as well as expert knowledge. Plus he returns phone calls!

We had hydronic heating installed by Proheat—underfloor heating in our new extension and wall panels in the original part of the house—and it’s honestly the best decision we made for the renovation. My newborn had eczema and respiratory issues, and this heating has made such a difference for his allergies. Adam and his team were fantastic to work with, super professional and thorough. If only all our other trades had been like them! I’ll add photos once the rest of the reno is done. Highly recommend Proheat for service and they had the most competitive price

We couldn't be more thankful enough to Adam and his team (Trent and Denise) for their excellent work in installation of the hydronic heating system in our old house, which was really a big challenge to remove the old duct system and install the new pipework under the floor. They are professional, hard-working and accommodating. We are so impressed by their detailed work in each part of the installation to reach the best outcome. We will definitely recommend highly Proheat Hydronic Heating to our friends.

I was really impressed with Adam for his professionalism, responsiveness to my queries regarding his quotation and for the quality of the installation of hydronic heating at my house. Given the large investment outlay for hydronic heating I wanted someone whom I could trust and provide honest (non sales man) advice. Adam went through the options with me, detailed all the components that he would be using as part of the installation and explained the panel sizes and positioning within the house. I felt very confident that Adam knew his product and had the experience behind him to know that I would have peace of mind. I had a young toddler which meant that I could only schedule the install on certain days (to avoid disruption to my son) and Adam re-arranged his schedule to fit in with me. This is a pretty rare thing to happen, most of the time you are slotted in when there is availability. I felt that this was truly going over and beyond good customer service. On install day, Adam arrived with his partner, Brayden and together they went through with me finalising panel locations and then set off to do their work. By the end of day one, most of the work had been completed and the following day was to install the panels and boiler. By mid afternoon my heating was connected and the house was nice and toasty. Although this is a long review, it deserves to be. Adam and his team were amazing to deal with and I would not hesitate recommending him to friends and colleagues. Do yourself a favour and save yourself time and effort, don't bother looking elsewhere. If I could give 10 stars on Google reviews I would because that's what Proheat and Adam deserve.

Frequently asked questions

How much do plumbers typically charge?
Plumbing costs vary significantly depending on the type of job and its complexity. Simple fixture repairs are generally much less than jobs involving pipe replacement, excavation or gas appliance work. Most quotes include a call-out fee, hourly labour and parts, with after-hours or emergency attendance usually attracting higher rates. This page shows live pricing for jobs in your area.
Do plumbers charge call-out fees?
Call-out fees are common and are often used to cover travel and the initial assessment. Plumbers typically add hourly labour and any materials or replacement parts to the call-out fee. After-hours, weekend or emergency attendances are usually charged at higher rates and some small jobs may have a minimum charge.
Do plumbers need a licence in Australia?
Yes. Plumbing work must be carried out by a licensed plumber in every Australian state and territory, and in NSW the regulator is NSW Fair Trading (Building Commission NSW). Plumbers will generally provide their licence number and should be able to supply compliance certificates for regulated work. Look for an ABN, public liability insurance and relevant industry memberships as additional trust signals.
