I called Female Choice Plumbing for the first time and was very impressed with the process from the initial phone call to the office through to the plumber arriving and completing the work. I even received a follow up customer service phone call to ensure I was happy with the work that had been done. The plumber arrived right on time - no waiting around the house all day! The work was completed efficiently and I'm very happy with the outcome. Fast, reliable and I would certainly recommend them.

They fixed a dripping faucet in record time. The plumber was prompt, diagnosed the issue, and the faucet is leak-free now. Quick and reliable plumbing service.

Plumber arrived on time the next day after posting an online request. He did an excellent job with tap replacements and fixing a few previous owner home jobs without any fuss. Highly recommended.

Wonderful service today. Plumber arrived early! Very courteous and helpful chap. Fixed my leaking water pipe which I thought was going to be a big job. Very professional. Deal with the leaking pipe and then went on to fix other issues that I had been putting off. Replaced the shower head and new taps in the bathroom and checked the hot water service. All this completed in a quick, professional manner and the account was reasonable. Would definitely use them again and am happy to recommend their services.

Frequently asked questions

How much do plumbers typically charge?
Plumbing costs vary significantly depending on the type of job and its complexity. Simple fixture repairs are generally much less than jobs involving pipe replacement, excavation or gas appliance work. Most quotes include a call-out fee, hourly labour and parts, with after-hours or emergency attendance usually attracting higher rates. This page shows live pricing for jobs in your area.
Do plumbers charge call-out fees?
Call-out fees are common and are often used to cover travel and the initial assessment. Plumbers typically add hourly labour and any materials or replacement parts to the call-out fee. After-hours, weekend or emergency attendances are usually charged at higher rates and some small jobs may have a minimum charge.
Do plumbers need a licence in Australia?
Yes. Plumbing work must be carried out by a licensed plumber in every Australian state and territory, and in NSW the regulator is NSW Fair Trading (Building Commission NSW). Plumbers will generally provide their licence number and should be able to supply compliance certificates for regulated work. Look for an ABN, public liability insurance and relevant industry memberships as additional trust signals.
