Thank you to to the friendly staff at WES Multi-trades for their quick and courteous attention to my recent plumbing issue. I would also like to commend Lloyd for his friendly professionalism in completing the job so quickly. I have no hesitation in recommending Lloyd to my friends who may need any plumbing done. I would also recommend WES to anyone who needs your various services. Any member of your staff I have ever had contact with has been professional and a pleasure to deal with, due to their friendly and helpful service. I appreciate that whenever a job has been finished the tradespeople always clean up after themselves, really completing the job. This is a wonderful and courteous gesture, that says a great deal about the care and attention to their work and how well WES looks after customers. Even the payment process is quick and easy. Thank you all so much for your friendly attention to my enquiries, as well as for the electrical and air-conditioning services I have previously used.

Garry was an awesome aircon tech. We recently had 4 aircons cleaned -which we do every year at the beginning of summer. Not once in the 6 years of owning our home has any air tech suggested closing the vents to our obsolete ducted aircon vents. We can tell Garry cares about what he does for his clients. Thanks so much WES team :).

I contacted the team at Wes when my hot water stopped heating properly. Dirk patiently walked me through troubleshooting steps, checking if the timer on my new solar system was the issue and if I could solve it before needing to book a tech. When that didn’t resolve it, Lenelle quickly scheduled a visit from their technician, Lloyd, who arrived within an hour. Lloyd was incredibly kind, helpful, and courteous on site — and he fixed the problem on the spot! Thanks to the team, I’m back to enjoying hot showers again. The whole experience was easy, straightforward, and delivered with outstanding service. Highly recommend!

First class job, old gas hot water system reached its use-by date. Replacement was 315 litre electric controlled by a timer to ensure that it only heated during the daytime hours to utilise power from my PV solar panels. Location was moved to a more central spot to reduce the wait for hot water that we had with the gas system. The tidy-up of the previous gas system was also excellent. The tradesmen were great, not only in their skill, but in explaining the aspects and operation of the new system.

Frequently asked questions

How much do plumbers typically charge?
Plumbing costs vary significantly depending on the type of job and its complexity. Simple fixture repairs are generally much less than jobs involving pipe replacement, excavation or gas appliance work. Most quotes include a call-out fee, hourly labour and parts, with after-hours or emergency attendance usually attracting higher rates. This page shows live pricing for jobs in your area.
Do plumbers charge call-out fees?
Call-out fees are common and are often used to cover travel and the initial assessment. Plumbers typically add hourly labour and any materials or replacement parts to the call-out fee. After-hours, weekend or emergency attendances are usually charged at higher rates and some small jobs may have a minimum charge.
Do plumbers need a licence in Australia?
Yes. Plumbing work must be carried out by a licensed plumber in every Australian state and territory, and in NSW the regulator is NSW Fair Trading (Building Commission NSW). Plumbers will generally provide their licence number and should be able to supply compliance certificates for regulated work. Look for an ABN, public liability insurance and relevant industry memberships as additional trust signals.
