We used Shorty’s Pest Management for our flat and shed in Deception Bay and couldn’t be happier. It was a bit of a tricky job, but they handled it professionally from start to finish and took the time to do it properly. They kept a great attitude the whole time, even on a hot, humid day, and the results have been excellent. Friendly, reliable, and easy to deal with — highly recommend!

We couldn’t be happier with the service from Shorty’s Pest Control! Ryan did an excellent job — he was punctual, friendly, and extremely professional from start to finish. He took the time to explain everything clearly and reassured me that the chemicals used were completely safe for pets and children, which gave me great peace of mind. We’re already noticing a huge difference, and it’s only been a short time since the treatment. It’s such a relief to see real results so quickly. Highly recommend Shorty’s Pest Control — outstanding service, great price and fantastic results!

We recently requested a visit from Shorty’s Pest Management (SPM) to have a Residential Pest management review on our 12 month old new home as we had used SPM services on our previous residence. Rob has always provided exceptional service, delivering a quality product primarily in my view as a result of his years of experiance in the pest control industry. Customer service is top notch from initial contact through to completion and a comprehensive service report provided. If you are seeking quality pest management delivered at your home by an experienced technician we highly recommend you contact Shorty’ Pest Management, you will not be disappointed 👍 Mick & Maree Beerwah

Rang Rob in a panic before Christmas as we thought we found termites. Rob reassured us after we sent some pictures that they weren't. We booked a pest inspection and spray after Christmas and were very satisfied with Rob's knowledge and him working around our ASD daughter. Rob was happy to pass on tips and advice and we had a great old time. I chose this company because they are 2nd generation pest controllers and local to boot. Consider this small family business, I have no regrets.

Frequently asked questions

How much do pest controllers typically charge?
Costs vary widely depending on the pest type, how extensive the infestation is, property access and whether follow-up visits are needed. Most pest controllers charge a call-out fee plus an hourly labour rate, with materials and repeat treatments adding to the total. The prices shown on this page update live to help you compare current rates.
Do pest controllers charge call-out fees?
Many pest controllers charge a call-out fee to attend and assess your property, which is usually separate from labour and materials. After-hours, weekend or emergency attendance often attracts higher rates. It's worth confirming any call-out or minimum fees when requesting quotes.
Do pest controllers need a licence in Australia?
Yes. Pest control work generally must be carried out by a licensed pest controller in every Australian state and territory, and in NSW licensing is administered by the NSW Environment Protection Authority (NSW). Providers should display a valid state pest management licence and often hold industry credentials such as AEPMA membership or PestCert accreditation, public liability insurance and an ABN with GST registration. Many also provide a written service report and chemical usage log after treatment.
