We’ve all been there — hiring a tradie without truly knowing what their work will be like. It can also be a blessing or a curse when your own perfectionism borders on OCD. At the end of the day, what you’re really looking for is someone with a flawless work ethic at an affordable price. Enter Shane Were from We R Paving — a genuinely likable character who ticked every box and delivered a finished paved driveway that exceeded our expectations. The lines were straight, the edging was tight, and the entire project came together like a perfectly crafted jigsaw puzzle. Nothing short of perfection. Our neighbours are envious, and the house now looks a million dollars… actually, in today’s market, make that two million ! Thank you Shane and Kyle for the first-class service. Well done gents. You come highly recommended. David James Clover Hill Estate Mudgeeraba 4213

Frequently asked questions

How much do paving specialists typically charge?

Paving costs vary widely depending on the job type, area, base work required, materials and site access. New laying is generally more involved than surface repairs or re‑levelling, and after‑hours attendance usually attracts higher rates. This page shows live pricing so you can compare quotes for your specific job.

Do paving specialists charge call-out fees?

Call‑out fees are commonly charged to cover attendance and initial assessment and are usually quoted separately from labour and materials. After‑hours or weekend work is often billed at a higher rate or using a multiplier, so it’s worth confirming any call‑out and timing surcharges before agreeing to work.

When do paving specialists need a licence?

Registration or a contractor licence is often required for larger or structural paving work, and rules vary by state and territory. Ask any provider to show their state registration or contractor licence, White Card and public liability insurance as part of their credentials.

How do I get a quote from We R Paving?
