I asked Martin's painting service for a quote to paint one outside wall of my house in November 2019. I received a quote for $1500 a week or so later but was told the work would be done in the New Year. In Jan i was advised it would be done when the weather cooled off. In early April I was contacted and told painting would start that week. I then received a txt msg to say that the quote had been under estimated and done " as a drive by quote" and the work was more extensive, therefore the price was doubled to $3000. I was less than impressed and have not proceeded.
