Bought a paint roller on a pole. Within 3 minutes of using it I realised the locking ring on the pole was just for comedy. Had a bit of a chuckle at myself for being stupid enough to think a $15 roller on a pole would be good, and went out and bought a better quality setup under the 'Monarch' brand. Much better, but after researching more, I'm buying 'Purdy' brand gear. The 'Uni-Pro' junk being sold at Bunnings is for suckers (I was one) who find the junk fails very quickly but it's so cheap you can't be bothered returning it. The amount of junk going into landfill because of these junk quality products is a concern for anyone who cares about the planet. Of course, consumers trusting in these products is a problem as well. Maybe we need to research more and not encourage companies to sell us stuff that might be ok, but most probably won't.
Recently used the micro fibre roller kit and loved it. 2 rollers in the kit so I used 1 for the ceiling and the other for the walls. They did the job perfectly. I've purchased other Uni-Pro items in the past and have never been disappointed in the quality of their products.
