From our first interaction to his post-job follow-ups, Mark at BrisPaint has been a pleasure to work with. He’s punctual, collaborative and has done an amazing job on our ancient little Queenslander. It looks fresh and renewed. Mark’s big on the little details, and we’re confident our home will look amazing for years to come. Many of our friends have commented on the quality of his work and we’ve already recommended him to quite a few people.

We have had the pleasure in dealing with Mark and his team on two occasions recently. First, we had storm water damage repairs done on the interior of our home, then we had a complete repaint on the exterior. The fact that they work so well together, and their friendly demeanour meant it was a pleasure having them at our place while they did the work. Their attention to detail is amazing, and they did the job with minimal disruption. The way they cleaned up and left the place spotless meant we had nothing to clean up when they left. We are planning on getting a complete interior repaint in the near future, and we know that we can rest at ease in getting Brispaint to do the job.

Very happy with the outcome of the works done. Mark & Josh were both friendly, professional and did a great job correcting some water damage & a wall repair. Highly recommend.

Frequently asked questions

How much do painters typically charge?
Painting costs depend on the size of the job, the condition of existing surfaces, and whether the work is interior, exterior or both. Jobs requiring significant preparation such as sanding, filling or priming will generally cost more than a straightforward repaint over sound surfaces. Most painters quote per square metre or per room, with exterior work and multi-storey access typically attracting higher rates. This page shows live pricing for jobs in your area.
Do painters need a licence in Australia?
Yes. In most Australian states and territories, painters carrying out domestic work above a certain value must hold a trade-specific licence or registration. Licensing requirements and thresholds vary by jurisdiction — for example, NSW requires a Contractor Licence for painting work. A licensed painter should be able to provide their licence number on request, and you can verify it with your state's building authority.
How should I prepare my home before painters arrive?
Most painters will handle masking, drop sheets and surface preparation as part of the job, but clearing the area of furniture, wall hangings and fragile items beforehand helps the job run smoothly and may reduce your quote. For exterior work, ensure the painter has clear access to all walls and that garden beds or outdoor furniture are moved back. Discuss any specific concerns like lead paint, mould or moisture damage before work begins so the painter can plan accordingly.
How do I get a quote from Brispaint?
Brispaint lists phone, email, or through their website on this profile, so you can contact them directly for pricing and availability. Share a short scope and photos to get a faster quote.
