Leisure Coast Powder Coaters and Abrasive Blasting

Extremely disappointed with the workmanship and lack of accountability. I provided two old steel security doors to this business for powder coating. Before dropping them off, I clearly expressed concern about whether sandblasting might damage the fine steel mesh. Tony offered to perform a small test patch, which looked okay upon inspection. Based on that, I proceeded with the job. However, after the full sandblasting, one of the doors came back with major damage — the steel mesh is severely distorted and warped. Even worse, all the tubular steel bars making up the door frame now have a noticeable bow in them. This distortion affects both the appearance and structural integrity of the door. At no stage was I warned that sandblasting could cause this type of damage. The result now is that the mesh needs to be fully replaced, along with new U channels, pop-riveting, and associated labour. Due to the bowed steel tubing, the entire door may need to be re-fabricated, as repairing the frame may not be feasible or cost-effective. Very poor outcome from a process that should have been handled with much more care and communication.

Cannot complain at all! The service is impeccable, they are efficient and are always trying to help find a solution to problems that arrive. Pricing is fair and the quality is unmatched. The workers are all very friendly to add to the mix, top business!
