I highly recommend Bree and her team. They were very professional and easy to get along with. They did a fantastic job with the preparation of the house, along with great attention to detail on frames etc. We are very impressed with their time management and after waiting months for other contractors and not hearing back we were just extremely happy to have them finish by the deadline they set.

I highly recommend Bree for all paint jobs! She painted my whole house internally and later externally and it is an amazing job! Completely transformed my home. I have used many trades over the years however Bree takes the time to go above and beyond the requirements. She is passionate about her work and has an eye for detail. With a vibrant and trustworthy nature, i certainly will always be going back to Bree for all my painting needs.

We have had many painters work for us over the years. Last year and this year we had Bree do substantial to small jobs for us. I have to say that by far her attention to detail and finish is the best painting we have seen. Going forward I will not use anyone else as she is the best at what she does and is very competitive. Highly recommend her services.

Frequently asked questions

How much do painters typically charge?
Painting costs depend on the size of the job, the condition of existing surfaces, and whether the work is interior, exterior or both. Jobs requiring significant preparation such as sanding, filling or priming will generally cost more than a straightforward repaint over sound surfaces. Most painters quote per square metre or per room, with exterior work and multi-storey access typically attracting higher rates. This page shows live pricing for jobs in your area.
Do painters need a licence in Australia?
Yes. In most Australian states and territories, painters carrying out domestic work above a certain value must hold a trade-specific licence or registration. Licensing requirements and thresholds vary by jurisdiction — for example, NSW requires a Contractor Licence for painting work. A licensed painter should be able to provide their licence number on request, and you can verify it with your state's building authority.
How should I prepare my home before painters arrive?
Most painters will handle masking, drop sheets and surface preparation as part of the job, but clearing the area of furniture, wall hangings and fragile items beforehand helps the job run smoothly and may reduce your quote. For exterior work, ensure the painter has clear access to all walls and that garden beds or outdoor furniture are moved back. Discuss any specific concerns like lead paint, mould or moisture damage before work begins so the painter can plan accordingly.
