I can’t recommend Alikai roofing services enough!! They recently restored our 30 year-old roof back to brand-new! Very professional and reliable. I’ve never had tradesmen leave my house cleaner than it was. Extremely happy with the outcome, thank you very much Jake & the team.

We really wanted to avoid it getting to the stage of leaving a bad review. Now we are pursuing a case with fair trading. And hoping that Jake never repeats what he did to us to any other unsuspecting customers. We spent several months attempting to contact Jake with the hopes of resolving the issues he and his employee, Sam, left with on our roof after performing a $6.5k roof “restoration” in 2022. But after many attempts, he refused to come back to rectify any of them. Summarised; they adjusted some roof tiles while painting around a skylight but failed to reposition those tiles after completion. As a result, unbeknownst to us, as our unit was temporarily unoccupied at the time, a weeks worth of straight rain was entering directly into our roof space and ceiling. The water damage was extensive. An entire rooms ceiling, cornices and electrical light fittings, had to be replaced due to the damage. All of which we ended up having to pay for out of pocket. While Jake refused to return to assess, we had another trade out to try and locate the source of the leak and he found at least 3 tiles out of place. Water had been going straight in. Following this, we had the rest of the roof looked over only to find out that in excess of 20+ cracked tiles had simply been painted over. He also argued that these were just “noseys”- the photos we have clearly show they were not. Upon trying to contact Jake and his team about having him return to site to assess these issues in the hopes of finding a resolution, he proceeded to shift blame, gaslight, and then ignore our emails and texts messages. I suspect he will do the same with this review. But I am more than happy to post the copies of our emails and messages if he does so. He later claimed the his reason for simply painting over many of our broken tiles was that he only quoted for a limited amount of damaged tiles to be replaced in his original quote to us. Yet his quote stated, “Change any broken Tiles or Ridge Capping” with no recorded set amount. Safe to say we’ve had more leaks in the two years following Alikai’s “restorations” than in the two years prior… Looking forward to the day that this company honours the part of their quote that states, “All our work comes with a 10 year warranty & Guarantee!”
