We had a great experience with Nathan and his company from start to finish. They removed the old brick paving around our pool and replaced it with beautiful terrazzo tiles, and the transformation of our outdoor area is incredible. They installed a soak well, repaved our steps up to the deck and put in a new garden wall between the garden and the paving. Stewy was professional, hardworking, and respectful of our property, and the job was completed on time with great attention to detail. We’re extremely happy with the results and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their pool or outdoor area.

Just had two separate channel grate systems with dual leeching soakwells installed in my yard, attaching to my liquid limestone slab. I have had problems with sagging in my slab over 10 years after install and pooling of water when it rains. Also I have dogs that mess the area and it needs to be hosed frequently. My proposed areas were challenging and they met/exceeded every one of my expectations. The quality of work was admirable on top of excellent communication and professionalism. My soakwells needed to be installed under my slab and under astro turf to which everything was put back in a barely noticeable changed state. I highly recommend their services and hope you too have the same experience.

I cannot rate Nathan and the PLC team highly enough. They were a bit more than other quotes we’d received but so worth it for the expertise and quality of service (not to mention Clint’s singing). We’ve used the PLC Group twice now and are so happy with the results. Their customer service has been outstanding with any queries addressed promptly. The team are always so helpful, they are resolution focused, take pride in what they do and will work with you to get the best possible outcome. We had a concern with the pavers around our pool and Nathan didn’t hesitate to jump on the phone to me to discuss and then reached out to various providers to help find a solution. It’s still a work in progress but our backyard has such a nice feel to it now and we love spending time in it. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend PLC’s services.

We employed PLC Group to do approx. 66sqm of paving, install soak wells and 2m limestone steps. We are extremely happy with the end result. From our first meeting with Nathan to get a quote, to Stewart and his offsider, who were on site, they were all very professional, friendly and a pleasure to work with. They did a fantastic job and cleaned up like they were never even there. Thank you so much to you all. Highly recommended. 👍😁

Frequently asked questions

How much do landscapers typically charge?
Costs vary widely depending on job type and complexity — a tidy-up is typically much less than a full makeover or structural retaining wall. Materials, labour hours, site access and any required design or engineering work usually drive the price. This page shows live pricing to help you compare current rates.
Do landscapers charge call-out fees?
Most landscapers charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, and this is usually separate from labour and materials. Hourly labour rates and after-hours or weekend attendance are often charged at higher rates. It’s worth confirming any minimum fees and what the call-out covers when requesting quotes.
When do landscapers need a licence in Australia?
Landscapers typically need a contractor licence or builder registration when work involves structural or building elements such as engineered retaining walls, footings or major excavation. Providers who undertake structural work will usually display a valid state contractor licence or builder registration, while smaller softscape-only jobs often do not require that registration. Check that any landscaper doing structural work holds the appropriate licence or registration.
