La Muxlow Gardens

We’ve been working with La to design and establish an outdoor concept for our knockdown rebuild project. La is a fantastic listener who took our scattered ideas and inspiration images and transformed them into a cohesive, beautifully considered design. Her attention to detail and the quality of her work have exceeded our expectations. We’re truly excited to bring her vision to life.

We recently engaged La to design a concept plan and planting plan for our large sloping block in north east suburbs of Melbourne in which we are planning to do (as much possible) DIY. We were very impressed with the level of detail at this concept stage, with basic measurements, recommended brands and suppliers. La was also kind to share some of her trades contacts who have been a pleasure to deal with. La was incredibly warm, very generous with her time and patient with all of my many many questions. The plan she has designed us is incredibly beautiful (My Mum says it’s the type of garden you would see on TV getting an award!), and now we will spend many years trying to save enough money to bring it to life :) My tip is to be very clear about your budget even if you are planning to do a hybrid of DIY as landscaping and materials are very expensive. We look forward to continuing to work with La as we bring some of the plan to life.

We were delighted by the plan La created for our property. She developed an ingenious solution for our sloped land, skillfully incorporating the quirky existing features into the design. La’s plant selection was impressive. She captured the essence of what we wanted while introducing many unexpected choices that enhanced the overall look of our landscape. La has honestly blown us away with her creativity for our very unique shaped and sloped bock. We didn't think something so beautiful would be possible. She carefully considered and maximised every corner and somehow created multiple zones for us all to enjoy. She understood the brief and quickly got a feel for what we'd like and produced some pretty amazing ideas. We are so thrilled and cant wait to get started and watch it all grow and come together.
