Exceptional Service from Barzi at Jim's Diggers! I had a fantastic experience hiring Barzi from Jim's Diggers and can't recommend him highly enough. From start to finish, he was extremely easy to deal with. Communication was punctual and clear, and he was always professional. Barzi brought a good machine, but his skill as an operator in tight locations is what truly impressed me. He handled the challenging access with precision and confidence, demonstrating expertise that went the extra mile to ensure every aspect of the job was done right. If you need quality digging work, especially in a confined space, Barzi is the person to call. He delivered a high-quality job efficiently and professionally. Five stars

Great job refreshing our driveway and spreading the road-mix gravel. All I had to do was give it a rake and whacker to compress and stabilise.

We're both very happy with Barzi's work. The end result looks amazing and it makes the house look so much better and it complements the driveway beautifully. I'd gladly get him back to do other work and wouldn't hesitate in recommending him to others.

Landscaping costs & guides

Frequently asked questions

How much do landscapers typically charge?
Costs vary widely depending on job type and complexity — a tidy-up is typically much less than a full makeover or structural retaining wall. Materials, labour hours, site access and any required design or engineering work usually drive the price. This page shows live pricing to help you compare current rates.
Do landscapers charge call-out fees?
Most landscapers charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, and this is usually separate from labour and materials. Hourly labour rates and after-hours or weekend attendance are often charged at higher rates. It’s worth confirming any minimum fees and what the call-out covers when requesting quotes.
When do landscapers need a licence in Australia?
Landscapers typically need a contractor licence or builder registration when work involves structural or building elements such as engineered retaining walls, footings or major excavation. Providers who undertake structural work will usually display a valid state contractor licence or builder registration, while smaller softscape-only jobs often do not require that registration. Check that any landscaper doing structural work holds the appropriate licence or registration.
