We are so pleased with the work completed by Jacob. He was quick to attend our home for a quote to remove approx 4m3 mulch from our front yard in preparation for lawn. Jacob was back on site within a few weeks from us initially reaching out. The skip/truck he arranged for disposal of the mulch broke down. However, he went the extra mile of driving back and forth from Kyneton to Bendigo (multiple times) to get the job done! We would highly recommend Jacob from Jim's Diggers. Thank you

Organized Jacob to do a job for me in Maiden Gully. I have a great repose from Jacob, quick to organize a site meeting and to carry out works as discussed without supervision. I have been in the building industry all of my life as a chippy. I would thoroughly recommend Jacob for any small excavation jobs.

Jacob was excellent the whole way through. Fast to respond to my job request, talked me through the job and what I wanted, gave a reasonable estimate and the quote was great. For needing the nature strip excavated and dirt taken away, Jim Diggers was great for such a small task. Really recommend!

I recently had an interaction with Jacob from Jims Diggers in Bendigo who was prompt in acting on our 1st conversation to getting the quote that was more reasonable than I expected and then for him to actually do the job within days was even better. I know where I will be going for any type of work Jim's offer. Thank you.

Frequently asked questions

How much do landscapers typically charge?
Costs vary widely depending on job type and complexity — a tidy-up is typically much less than a full makeover or structural retaining wall. Materials, labour hours, site access and any required design or engineering work usually drive the price. This page shows live pricing to help you compare current rates.
Do landscapers charge call-out fees?
Most landscapers charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, and this is usually separate from labour and materials. Hourly labour rates and after-hours or weekend attendance are often charged at higher rates. It’s worth confirming any minimum fees and what the call-out covers when requesting quotes.
When do landscapers need a licence in Australia?
Landscapers typically need a contractor licence or builder registration when work involves structural or building elements such as engineered retaining walls, footings or major excavation. Providers who undertake structural work will usually display a valid state contractor licence or builder registration, while smaller softscape-only jobs often do not require that registration. Check that any landscaper doing structural work holds the appropriate licence or registration.
