Was so relieved when Ben agreed to take on the challenge of creating an indigenous landscaped garden for my townhouse! List of works; excavation, landscaping, gardening, planting, new pathways, existing staircase upgrade and a new railway sleeper staircase, hardwood trellis screening around existing water tank, hardwood gate built with existing fence, blended landscape rock. The list goes on and on and all completed in the timeframe!! Ben and his team were honest, incredibly efficient, reliable, knowledgeable, trustworthy and friendly throughout the whole time. Not missing a beat!! Ben was able to work through some challenging terrain but also respected the space, existing trees and plants. Was gentle with all his work and able reintroduce the native beauty that this land so desperately needed again! His honesty and experience made me feel at ease, has always been available for post care advice and regularly checks up to make sure life is happy here in the garden! I am just so in love with my garden and so thankful to you Ben.

Ben helped us solve a tricky landscaping/drainage problem in our backyard and driveway with his thoughtful and considered design. He worked within our budget to solve our problems yet make a really functional and interesting design that worked for our young family. His passion for indigenous plants is infectious and he created a garden that we just LOVE!

Ben Crisfield-Smith delivered outstanding landscape design work for our property. From the initial design brief through to completion, Ben's process was thorough and collaborative. We're probably not the easiest clients, and he took time to understand how we wanted to use our outdoor spaces, incorporating natural elements like stone and a water feature, as well as a rammed earth wall. We couldn't be happier with our garden design and would highly recommend Ben to anyone looking for a design that will genuinely enhance how you interact daily with the outdoors.

We went to Ben looking for a native garden to replace our boring front lawn. Ben took the time to listen and understand our priorities but also had the vision and creativity to take the design beyond our expectations. We were really impressed with his knowledge of plants and passion for understanding specific ecology of the area. In his design, Ben considered the function and flow of the garden in addition to its aesthetics, which included suggestions for a new front deck and more centrally located pathway. These additions have dramatically improved the connection between the house and garden. The design process and pricing was all very transparent and Ben was able to work within our budget even when we made small changes along the way. As a bonus, all the subcontractors he brought on site were extremely professional and lovely guys to have around. It’s clear that Ben has very good relationships with the people he works with, and cares about maintaining these. The end results exceeded all our expectations - we are extremely happy with our new garden and looking forward to watching it grow! Highly recommended.

Ben's creativity, persistence and 'can-do' attitude was able to transform our landlocked backyard (which we never used), into a native & indigenous garden masterpiece. Ben made sure we had plenty of access points to enjoy each area of the garden which we love ambling through everyday. Thoroughly enjoyed working with Ben and his team, we certainly had the right crew for the task at hand. It was clear that Ben cared as much about the project as we did (and still does!).

We were fortunate to have Ben design an indigenous garden for our planned new build. As part of the planning process we needed to submit to council detailed landscape plans. Our design brief to Ben was challenging as our property has both a fire and an environmental overlay. Ben’s knowledge of indigenous plants, dedication to getting things right and overall professionalism meant that the council were really happy with the final plan – as were we. We’re looking forward to seeing the garden established once the build is complete and grateful to Ben in helping us achieve our dream garden.
