Paul did a fantastic job! Took down a standing dead gum without any fuss or mess. All the branches and logs were stacked into 'easy to process' piles, so half the work was done for clean up. He also cleaned up my twisted willow and added some possum guard to help the tree survive. Hard working, very knowledgeable and easy to talk to.

Paul did an excellent job trimming hazardous branches from our gum trees and tidying up afterward. Professional, thorough, and highly recommended! 5 stars.

Paul was brilliant !! From the start he listened to what we were trying to achieve by clearing an area for a future garden hub by the river. Followed by advising on how and why he was going to tackle clearing the trees 🌲 and some educational comments to look out for areas of future stress and how trees form and grow. He was methodical in completing the removal, neat and tidy with leaving the wood and chips for us, great workmanship. Highly recommend to anyone needing any rework done.

Paul is a sympathetic arborist who listens and takes great care to make sure your trees and hedges will thrive after a tidy up and he ready tidies up well, barely a scattered leaf left behind. Such a pleasure to have him work on some very tall hedges and overgrown trees. Highly recommended.

Paul from Cherry Arbor Co did a great job on our monstous hedge that was overgrown with blackberry and a few of the plants were dying off. What I liked about Paul's work is his attention to detail and and his knowledge and experience. Paul also offered strategies/ideas to improve the health of the hedge. Paul coming back to replace the dying plants, fresh soil etc. Very happy customer.

Landscaping costs & guides

Frequently asked questions

How much do landscapers typically charge?
Costs vary widely depending on job type and complexity — a tidy-up is typically much less than a full makeover or structural retaining wall. Materials, labour hours, site access and any required design or engineering work usually drive the price. This page shows live pricing to help you compare current rates.
Do landscapers charge call-out fees?
Most landscapers charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, and this is usually separate from labour and materials. Hourly labour rates and after-hours or weekend attendance are often charged at higher rates. It’s worth confirming any minimum fees and what the call-out covers when requesting quotes.
When do landscapers need a licence in Australia?
Landscapers typically need a contractor licence or builder registration when work involves structural or building elements such as engineered retaining walls, footings or major excavation. Providers who undertake structural work will usually display a valid state contractor licence or builder registration, while smaller softscape-only jobs often do not require that registration. Check that any landscaper doing structural work holds the appropriate licence or registration.
