Absolutely outstanding service from O’Briens Tree Care. Nick, along with two other skilled team members, came to our property over two days to remove extensive palms and large trees, and they did so with professionalism, punctuality, and care. They arrived exactly on time both days, were friendly and knowledgeable, and provided clear, practical advice after two free quotes. The removals were thorough and performed safely, and they were neat and tidy, leaving the site spotless. A standout moment was when they spotted a possum, saved it safely, and relocated it. Their ongoing communication and great value made the entire experience exceptional. Five stars all the way!

Quite impressive actually. While plenty of others turned down the job being too difficult or too tight of a space, O’Briens Tree Care took it on without fuss and for a fair price. The real standout was the clean up. They didn’t just remove the branches, they cleared everything, down to the last stick. Even took the pile of leaves we’d raked up ourselves.

Landscaping costs & guides

Frequently asked questions

How much do landscapers typically charge?
Costs vary widely depending on job type and complexity — a tidy-up is typically much less than a full makeover or structural retaining wall. Materials, labour hours, site access and any required design or engineering work usually drive the price. This page shows live pricing to help you compare current rates.
Do landscapers charge call-out fees?
Most landscapers charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, and this is usually separate from labour and materials. Hourly labour rates and after-hours or weekend attendance are often charged at higher rates. It’s worth confirming any minimum fees and what the call-out covers when requesting quotes.
When do landscapers need a licence in Australia?
Landscapers typically need a contractor licence or builder registration when work involves structural or building elements such as engineered retaining walls, footings or major excavation. Providers who undertake structural work will usually display a valid state contractor licence or builder registration, while smaller softscape-only jobs often do not require that registration. Check that any landscaper doing structural work holds the appropriate licence or registration.
