Dan and the team at DKF have helped me out twice now — and by “helped”, I mean I threw some ideas at them and they did all the actual hard work. After our pool build we were left with a pretty desolate, uninspiring patch of compacted earth. In May 2023, DKF came in and made the space usable again. They got most of the garden beds back to life, worked within our budget, and helped me establish the first stage of what’s now a thriving tropical garden (to the point where I probably need to thin it out soon). Fast-forward to this year: after battling endless SEQ weather delays and my own indecision about the long-term plan, we finally locked in what we wanted in October. Within a month of quoting, Dan and the team were back on-site. Over a few brutally hot and humid days, they knocked out additional drainage, sorted electrical provisions, and even fixed water pipes left exposed by other contractors during the pool build. They also installed new raised planter beds with blockwork to get the levels right and laid a seriously lush new lawn that ties everything together. What I really appreciate is that the professionalism doesn’t stop once the job’s done. Their after-service advice has been spot on. And as a perfect example of the “above and beyond” mindset — our neighbour recently had concrete poured, leaving some big channels that were basically trip hazards. Using the leftover dirt from our job, Dan and the team quietly sorted it out without being asked. That kind of genuine care for the space and the community is rare. We’re now a big step closer to the final vision for our pool area. Honestly, I hadn’t made much progress since the last time they were here, so having DKF back has put me years ahead of where I would’ve been on my own. What’s that worth? A lot. Dan and team completed a full landscaping job for my new house build including cutting the land, new soil and turf. It also included foot paths with travertine pavers and white rocks in between. DKF did an amazing job. I felt like no question was unanswered and no request was too difficult. I even had to change things up during the job and Dan was able to cater to my needs.
