I’ve engaged DG Landscaping for several projects across different properties, and I’ve been consistently impressed with their work. The team is always friendly, professional, and extremely accommodating to my many changes and requests. They offered helpful suggestions when I was unsure, and I felt confident leaving many of the decisions in their capable hands. I’m very pleased with the results and highly recommend them.

Darv and the team at DG.Gardens went above and beyond to transform our very sad and underused entertainment area and courtyard into a beautiful urban oasis. It is now an area we use all the time and is our favourite place to be. It was an ambitious project with a number of design elements within a small space. Darv was with us throughout the whole process helping us navigate the building approval process and resolving issues as they arose. Would definitely work with these guys again and am happy to recommend.

Frequently asked questions

How much do landscapers typically charge?
Costs vary widely depending on job type and complexity — a tidy-up is typically much less than a full makeover or structural retaining wall. Materials, labour hours, site access and any required design or engineering work usually drive the price. This page shows live pricing to help you compare current rates.
Do landscapers charge call-out fees?
Most landscapers charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, and this is usually separate from labour and materials. Hourly labour rates and after-hours or weekend attendance are often charged at higher rates. It’s worth confirming any minimum fees and what the call-out covers when requesting quotes.
When do landscapers need a licence in Australia?
Landscapers typically need a contractor licence or builder registration when work involves structural or building elements such as engineered retaining walls, footings or major excavation. Providers who undertake structural work will usually display a valid state contractor licence or builder registration, while smaller softscape-only jobs often do not require that registration. Check that any landscaper doing structural work holds the appropriate licence or registration.
