We recently hired Gnome to do a one-off blitz of our front garden. They came in over two days to weed, trim, spray and mulch our front garden and trees. Belinda and the team were great to work with. Her communication was fantastic and the quality of the work completed is very good. The place looks amazing. The quoted price was quite reasonable, and we had the option to leave our box trailer to be filled, then taken to the tip ourselves to save a few dollars. I would strongly recommend reaching out if you have a project in mind. Gnome can cater to both recurring and one-off jobs. Thanks again!

Belinda is a fantastic Garden Gnome. Great communicator and turns up on time. I was given an itemized quote which was very fair and reasonable. The garden looks great now - thanks Belinda

Excellent work. Your regular 2 hour visits to our garden make all the difference. Very good knowledge of plants and great in caring for all aspects of garden maintenance - no job too big or too small.

I had a quite weeded garden and I called Belinda for the care. She was very responsive turned up on the day straight gave me the quote, then squeezed me in a cancellation spot and did the job right on the following day. Everything was done in such an efficient manner and my garden was weeded & mulched very nicely. I will recommend her and call her again in the future. It was a pleasure to have her for my garden work!

Frequently asked questions

How much do landscapers typically charge?
Costs vary widely depending on job type and complexity — a tidy-up is typically much less than a full makeover or structural retaining wall. Materials, labour hours, site access and any required design or engineering work usually drive the price. This page shows live pricing to help you compare current rates.
Do landscapers charge call-out fees?
Most landscapers charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, and this is usually separate from labour and materials. Hourly labour rates and after-hours or weekend attendance are often charged at higher rates. It’s worth confirming any minimum fees and what the call-out covers when requesting quotes.
When do landscapers need a licence in Australia?
Landscapers typically need a contractor licence or builder registration when work involves structural or building elements such as engineered retaining walls, footings or major excavation. Providers who undertake structural work will usually display a valid state contractor licence or builder registration, while smaller softscape-only jobs often do not require that registration. Check that any landscaper doing structural work holds the appropriate licence or registration.
