Retro-Spec Insulation

So, an older (60 plus years) house, brick veneer. We had the walls insulated on the advise of a friend who asked us to contact Retro-Spec. Allen was on to it and worked with us through some challenging circumstances (other contractors, weather etc) to get the job done. Although it is a bit early to comment on the value (i.e. energy saved etc) we were impressed with the workmanship and willingness to go the extra mile. My wife and I had our garage ceiling insulated by retro-spec. We were so pleased with the service that we decided to get our panel lift door and external garage wall insulated as well. We've had Allen from Retro-Spec Insulation perform two insulation jobs for us and both times the results were nothing short of spectacular. In both cases it took the houses from being miserably cold in the winter to being quite pleasant to live in. The value of wall insulation is completely underrated in Tasmania. In places like Queensland where you are trying to stop solar gain, ceiling insulation is important and walls less so, but in Tasmania where where heat loss from the structure during winter the dominant energy user, wall insulation is just as important as having the ceiling insulated. Allen and his team do an amazing job of installing pumped wall insulation using minimally invasive techniques, so you don't have to wait until the next renovation to add insulation to your house.

Had our Federation era house in Wynyard retro insulated by these guys- best money ever spent. Made a huge difference to inside temperature. They took one of the top weatherboards down and just blew it in (easy in our case as house had no noggins) Fire retardant too.
