Sam is one of those people that are rare to find these days - friendly, warm, honest, knowledgeable and skilled! After being burned by tradesman who didn’t return our calls, provide quotes as promised or even show up, we weren’t sure if we’d ever get our project done - but we didn’t need to worry. From our first interaction, through to the planning, booking and completion of our new fence + carport conversion, Sam was amazing. The work is of a high standard, he listened to our needs and went above and beyond. If you want someone you can trust to work on your home, look no further! We can’t wait to start our next project with HandySam!

Needed our house pointed, re-sprayed, some new tiles and gutters. Sam and his team gave us straight up advice on our options, were the most competitive pricing and very down to earth and friendly. They took their time and ensured the job was done right the first time from start to finish. Highly recommended to anyone.

We needed a handyman quick smart to do some repairs...broken shower tile and some holes in the walls to get our place ready for sales. Sam responded so quickly to my online enquiry and came to quote the work the next day. (Very reasonable too I might add!) Knowing we were about to list he picked up a few other minor cosmetic things which we were very appreciate of. The whole job was done within days and finish on everything was immaculate. Very very happy and couldn't recommend highly enough!

I have recently moved and there's lots to be done. The jobs completed were professional and fairly priced. Sam was even able to complete a job that "couldn't be done" I'm already writing my next list!...

Frequently asked questions

How much do handymen typically charge?
Costs vary widely depending on the task, its complexity and how long the job takes. Simple single-visit repairs or flatpack assembly are typically less than multi-item or specialist work that requires extra trades. This page shows live pricing to help you compare quotes and identify cost drivers.
Do handymen charge call-out fees?
Many handymen charge a call-out fee to attend a property, which is often separate from hourly labour and materials. After-hours attendance or weekend work commonly attracts higher rates. It's a good idea to confirm whether the call-out is included in the quote or charged separately.
What qualifications should I look for in a handyman?
Handymen are generally unlicensed for small jobs, so look for industry affiliations such as the Handyman and Home Maintenance Association, Housing Industry Association (HIA) membership or Master Builders involvement for larger-scope work. Check they hold an ABN, adequate public liability insurance and can provide a clear written quote separating labour and materials. For jobs that become large or high-value, confirm whether a state contractor licence or builder registration may be required.
How do I get a quote from Handysam?
Handysam lists phone or through their website on this profile, so you can contact them directly for pricing and availability. Share a short scope and photos to get a faster quote.
