Your home's size affects what you pay, but it comes second

Pest control cost goes up with home size. More rooms mean more product, more hours, and a longer check. A one-bedroom flat costs less than a five-bedroom house for the same pest and the same problem.

One-off or ongoing: the total cost depends on which job you need

A general pest treatment is one visit. If you're booking for cockroaches, ants, or spiders, that's the whole job: one check, one treatment, one quote.

Every licensed pest controller uses APVMA-registered chemicals, and that cost is in every quote

What this means for your quote: you're paying for APVMA-approved chemicals, a trained licensed operator, and the insurance they carry. A quote that looks very cheap may come from an unlicensed person. Ask to see the licence number before you book.

There's no legal DIY path that gives the same result. The products that work on hard infestations or scheduled treatments aren't sold for unlicensed use.

What to ask before you accept a quote
