The team at Hackett Glass are very professional. Their customer service is second to none. Our shower screen was installed within the time frame they provided. They kept us informed every step of the way. The installation & removal of the old shower screen was seamless. They really respect your property & cleaned up after themselves. Good old fashion customer service is hard to find these days. Keep up the great work guys, we'll definitely be using you again. We highly recommend Hackett Glass.

Not only were all my new window screens made to fit perfectly, they were made locally using local workers. For a small company they always do outstanding work, and the communication is great too.

Frequently asked questions

How much do glaziers typically charge?

Glazing costs vary a lot depending on the job type, glass specification, access and the number of panes involved. Simple repairs are typically much less than supply-and-fit work for large or safety-compliant panels. This page shows live pricing for your area to help you compare likely costs.

Do glaziers charge call-out fees?

Call-out fees are common and many glaziers also charge an hourly labour rate, with materials billed separately. After-hours or emergency attendance usually attracts a higher multiplier. Always confirm call-out and after-hours terms when getting quotes.

Do glaziers need a licence in Australia?

Yes. Glaziers are required to hold a contractor or glazing licence in each Australian state and territory. In NSW, licences are managed by NSW Fair Trading (Building Commission NSW). You should ask to see a licence number and appropriate insurance details before hiring.
