Mornington Peninsula Epoxy

We just got Mornington Peninsula Epoxy to do our garage floors and we absolutely love it! We were building a home gym so thought epoxy would be the perfect sub floor for these purposes, which it is, and it looks really nice as well. We were incredibly satisfied with the service and professionalism MP Epoxy provided, from the very first phone call all the way to the completion of the floors. Nick and Katie were amazing to deal with. Nick came out initially to do a proper measure and quote and also tested the moisture resistant level of the slab (which we learnt is very important to do before starting any works), and had also brought along large tiled samples as well for us to have a look at, which was really helpful. He was also very helpful with informing us about the entire process, and was happy to answer any questions we had. On the first day (and all the other days actually) Nick came and was pretty much head down and bums up working the whole time. I was actually worried at one point on the first day because I didn’t hear the grinder stop once from morning to afternoon, but I guess that’s how he rolls, and I really admire his work ethic and particularly his meticulously and the pride that he puts into his work. For reference, we ended up going with the “Cookies & Cream” Ultraflake with a “Pipeline Grey” base (pictures attached). The epoxy floor takes about 3 days to complete from start to finish. Thanks so much again Nick and MP Epoxy, keep up the great work! Friendly Warning: In doing my own research and contacting a lot of different epoxy installers, buyers beware that there are a lot of tradies out there installing epoxy floors for sub $2,000 for a double garage floor - I would stay away from these sort of prices because most likely they’re using an inferior product and poor workmanship, and you’ll end up having to rip it up and do it all over again which will cost you twice as much. Get it done properly, and you’ll only have to it only once.

Nick and his team, and Katie were amazing to work with from start to finish. From their in depth knowledge on epoxy, to their communication and professionalism. They helped me decide which colours to go for in relation to our area and what we wanted, and offered advise on how to take care of the finished floor. My young boys loved watching the Epoxy process, as did I! I never realised how many processes were involved in getting such a quality epoxy job done, the most fun being the scattering of the flake, which as Nick said "was where the magic happened!" And it really did! The job they did transformed our outdoor living entertaining area, and has brightened up the space amazingly. We get comments regularly on it. So I built myself a bar about 12 months ago and at the time intended on having the floors epoxied. However I was called away for business and one thing led to another and it all got too hard. I decided a few weeks ago I would now get the floors done and commenced a search for a reputable company. After a bit of a search on FB I came across Nick and Mornington Epoxy. Nick drove from the peninsula to my place in the mountains just to show me samples and discuss the job. From the outset I could see that Nick was knowledgeable and had fantastic attention to detail. We agreed on a price and Nick commenced the job. I should add that the job had a greater level of complexity because it had to be done separately in two sections as the furniture in the bar couldn’t be totally removed. Nick travelled to and from our home a total of nine times over two weeks to get the job done. His work was as I assumed it would be - clinical, precise and of an extremely high standard. The finish Nick has achieved in my bar is nothing short of breath taking! Having your floors epoxied is not a cheap process so you want it done right. In an industry with so many shonks it was great to come across Nick. Aside from his professionalism he is trust worthy and hard working. He finished the last coat at 9pm last night and went to this extra effort to make sure my floors were ready for a party I’m having mid next week. I cannot recommend Nick and Mornington Epoxy highly enough- fantastic fella, brilliant job and great value for money. Thanks heaps mate.

I organised Mornington Peninsula Epoxy to do my dads garage floor. Nick was not only very knowledgeable in his trade but was also extremely social and created great banter with my dad whilst getting the perfect finish on his garage floor. What an easy renovation to organise and they responded in great time. The floor looks absolutely amazing and dad is over the moon with his “new” space.
