Could not be happier with how our floors turned out - the photos don't do it justice! These almost 100 year old hoop pine floors were marked, stained and in poor shape and they came up so beautiful. Pricing was so much better than I thought it would be, and the job was quoted and completed so quick. Thank you Duncan, we cannot wait to get the rest of the house done!

Frequently asked questions

How much do flooring specialists typically charge?
Costs for flooring work typically vary widely depending on the type of job, the total area, material quality and the condition of the subfloor. Simple repairs or small installs are generally less than full removals, levelling or sand-and-polish jobs. The page shows live local pricing to help you compare quotes.
Do flooring specialists charge call-out fees?
Many flooring specialists charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the work, with separate charges for hourly labour and materials. After-hours or emergency attendance often attracts higher rates. It's a good idea to confirm any call-out and after-hours charges when requesting quotes.
When do flooring specialists need a licence?
Requirements vary by state and the scope of work; some floor finishing and covering work requires registration or a building licence. For example, Victoria lists Domestic Builder (Floor Finishing and Covering) registration on the BPC register, and Queensland uses QBCC Floor Finishing and Covering (Hard Sector) licences. Check the relevant state building regulator or licensing register for your area.
