Sam did a great job with our fence last year. Since then, we’ve had him come back to do a few jobs around the home. Very happy with his work, and how quickly he responds.

Sam came to our house and provided his professional and honest advice that the fence is too old to repair. He advised we better install a brand new fence with someone can do the job as Sam only repairs the fence!

Sam and team have done three fence and gate repair jobs for me. They provide good solutions, arrive on time, do neat work and clean up afterwards. Definitely recommend them.

I’d absolutely recommend Sam and his team. From the very beginning, he was professional, reliable, and easy to communicate with. They turned up on time, kept me informed throughout the process, and completed the job to a high standard. It’s clear they take pride in their work, and it really shows in the final result. Sam was super friendly and easy to talk to—nothing was ever too much trouble, and he was happy to answer any questions I had. Honest, approachable, and just really great to deal with. Would definitely recommend them!

Our fence was in the garden bed and also in a good condition, but the posts were rotten. It wasn’t necessary to spend extra money to replace the whole fence. Sam added some new posts to support the fence without killing my plants. The workmanship was excellent. He even fixed up the fence, which wasn’t in the quote. The price was very reasonable. Sam was a very reliable and honest guy.

Frequently asked questions

How much do fencers typically charge?
Fencing costs vary considerably depending on fence type, length, materials, site conditions and whether existing fencing must be removed. Simple repairs or short runs of standard post-and-paling or Colourbond typically cost less than full replacements or jobs on difficult ground. The page shows live pricing for common fencing jobs, and quotes usually include a call-out fee plus labour and materials, with after-hours work attracting higher rates.
Do fencers charge call-out fees?
Many fencers charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, particularly for small or diagnostic visits. This fee is generally separate from hourly labour and materials and may be credited against the job total. Confirm whether a call-out fee applies when you request a quote.
When do fencers need a licence?
Fencing work may require registration or a contractor licence in some states and territories; requirements vary by jurisdiction. Jobs that affect safety or involve pool fencing, structural posts or significant replacement work are examples that may trigger registration. Where applicable, look for a valid state contractor licence, ABN with GST, current public liability insurance, industry association membership (for example FIAA) and a White Card.
