Huge shout out to Chris and the team at Poolsafe Fencing. We needed to go from the status of having a 'non-compliant' swimming pool due to legacy fencing to a 'compliant' swimming pool with some new fencing additions and Chris was with us all the way in that journey. He helped us through different options that came with different price positions incorporating what we had along already in place along with what we needed. Martin the pool fencing installer was a very capable and friendly guy who did a great job of the install across 2 days. At all times Chris and Martin were accessible and approachable and Chris is a great communicator. I would have no hesitation in recommending Poolsafe Fencing, they delivered exactly what they promised in a cost-effective and timely way.

Chris designed a fence which crossed various surfaces, gradients and levels. It was manufactured and installed to meet an urgent timeline and it looks great. Each panel was custom made to fit the contours and had no infill panels to spoil the look. I was very impressed with the service, the product and the value. Even the Certifier was impressed! Thanks very much for what you have done. I would recommend you to anyone who needs a pool fence.

We obtained 3 quote to get our non-compliant pool fence to compliancy. Poolsafe was not the cheapest quote, however the other mobs wanted me to do a lot of digging and clearing work prior to them coming in for the install so we went with Poolsafe Fencing. Chris came out and I explained what the certifier had told us needed to happen. Chris knew the fencing laws WRT children and the No Climb Zone. He knew what was required which was a relief because I could only explain it the best I could from the certifiers explanation, I had only a basic grip on the legislated requirements Pool Safe Fencing understood what was needed so I felt very comfortable that the job would be done right the first time and as certifiers are a good $300 per visit, I'd like to pay the fee only once if possible. Poolsafe sent Martin to do our fence, I must say, what a lovely person he is. Very down to Earth, explained everything he intended to do and how long it was going to take to finish it. If he was concerned about anything he asked me first before making decisions, I trusted him anyways but this is very appreciated. He was on site first thing in the morning and he did not stop work until it was getting low on light - Now that's service for you! I kept Martin well hyrdrated which he was very appreciative of, we had a few good conversations and a couple of laughs about this and that. My little boy thought he was a really nice man (I like him Papa!) as he put it to me. Thank you Pool Safe Fencing! The fence looks great, its solid and I know it was done well because I could see Martin's attention to detail which was terrific. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Adam, Duffys Forest NSW

Frequently asked questions

How much do fencers typically charge?
Fencing costs vary considerably depending on fence type, length, materials, site conditions and whether existing fencing must be removed. Simple repairs or short runs of standard post-and-paling or Colourbond typically cost less than full replacements or jobs on difficult ground. The page shows live pricing for common fencing jobs, and quotes usually include a call-out fee plus labour and materials, with after-hours work attracting higher rates.
Do fencers charge call-out fees?
Many fencers charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, particularly for small or diagnostic visits. This fee is generally separate from hourly labour and materials and may be credited against the job total. Confirm whether a call-out fee applies when you request a quote.
When do fencers need a licence?
Fencing work may require registration or a contractor licence in some states and territories; requirements vary by jurisdiction. Jobs that affect safety or involve pool fencing, structural posts or significant replacement work are examples that may trigger registration. Where applicable, look for a valid state contractor licence, ABN with GST, current public liability insurance, industry association membership (for example FIAA) and a White Card.
