Shane was great to work with, he's a good guy and was punctual to do the quote and due to the bad weather the crew couldn't access their current job so mine snuck into their schedule. The crew were excellent, early starts and worked really hard to get it all done and on time. The end result is great. More than a kilometer of fencing with Gal posts, a couple of 3.6m gates and Maxi pickets every 5th post. This was a complicated fence, lots of corners and changes of direction but they took it all in their stride. I'd recommend these guys to anyone looking for rural fencing.

Frequently asked questions

How much do fencers typically charge?
Fencing costs vary considerably depending on fence type, length, materials, site conditions and whether existing fencing must be removed. Simple repairs or short runs of standard post-and-paling or Colourbond typically cost less than full replacements or jobs on difficult ground. The page shows live pricing for common fencing jobs, and quotes usually include a call-out fee plus labour and materials, with after-hours work attracting higher rates.
Do fencers charge call-out fees?
Many fencers charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, particularly for small or diagnostic visits. This fee is generally separate from hourly labour and materials and may be credited against the job total. Confirm whether a call-out fee applies when you request a quote.
When do fencers need a licence?
Fencing work may require registration or a contractor licence in some states and territories; requirements vary by jurisdiction. Jobs that affect safety or involve pool fencing, structural posts or significant replacement work are examples that may trigger registration. Where applicable, look for a valid state contractor licence, ABN with GST, current public liability insurance, industry association membership (for example FIAA) and a White Card.
