Frequently asked questions

How much do curtains blinds installers typically charge?
Costs vary widely depending on the job type and complexity. Most installers charge a call‑out fee plus an hourly labour component, with after‑hours work usually attracting a higher rate. Pricing is also affected by the number of windows, whether products are motorised, and the quality of materials; this page shows live pricing to help with comparisons.
Do curtains blinds installers charge call-out fees?
Call‑out fees are common and often cover travel and the initial assessment. Many installers separate the call‑out from labour and materials charges, and after‑hours or emergency attendances are typically charged at a higher rate. It’s worth confirming any minimum charges or call‑out terms when you request a quote.
What qualifications should I look for in a curtains blinds installer?
While government licences are not required for this trade, look for industry memberships such as the Window Shading Association of Australia or the Australian Window Association, an active ABN, and evidence of public liability insurance. Check for compliance with relevant safety standards for corded coverings, use of child‑safe cordless or wand options where children are present, and an installer label affixed after installation.
How do I get a quote from Sunshine Drapes?
Sunshine Drapes lists email or through their website on this profile, so you can contact them directly for pricing and availability. Share a short scope and photos to get a faster quote.
