Brian Did an excellent job with the installation of our bedroom curtains. Also a top bloke would recommend him for any track and curtain installation.

I had Brian from curtain track distributors over to inspect and repair my sticking curtain track, it was becoming impossible to move my curtains but after Brian carried out a inspection of the rails he then cleaned and replaced the rope in the rails and now they are as good as new👍. He was courteous to deal with and had a can do attitude I would thoroughly recommend CTD SA for your next curtain related job plus you are supporting a local SA business. Thanks Brian 👍👍

A curtain draw-string became increasingly hard to pull until the curtain rail came down along with the heavy curtain, no doubt due to old, worn and poor quality swivel clips that aren't readily available. No longer a DIY job, so I called in a professional. Brian arrived and quickly replaced the track and draw-string using more secure clips and re-attached the curtain. Amazing result - a curtain that had been a struggle, ran so easily it now rolled on a bit further even after releasing the draw-string. After a few weeks of being spoilt with this curtain, it was apparent 3 other heavy curtains were overdue for new tracks and at risk of falling. Also, drawer-strings were beginning to fray. So Brian returned and replaced these. These are now working better than when first hung decades ago. Very pleased with the results - Brian's workmanship, the products, sturdier attachments and the competitive price. Now considering calling Brian again to replace one remaining old and often tangled, flimsy, store-bought DIY curtain track.

Brian did a wonderful job, he completely repaired 20+ year old curtains that barely moved back and forth anymore. I'd recommend him to anyone!

Frequently asked questions

How much do curtains blinds installers typically charge?
Costs vary widely depending on the job type and complexity. Most installers charge a call‑out fee plus an hourly labour component, with after‑hours work usually attracting a higher rate. Pricing is also affected by the number of windows, whether products are motorised, and the quality of materials; this page shows live pricing to help with comparisons.
Do curtains blinds installers charge call-out fees?
Call‑out fees are common and often cover travel and the initial assessment. Many installers separate the call‑out from labour and materials charges, and after‑hours or emergency attendances are typically charged at a higher rate. It’s worth confirming any minimum charges or call‑out terms when you request a quote.
What qualifications should I look for in a curtains blinds installer?
While government licences are not required for this trade, look for industry memberships such as the Window Shading Association of Australia or the Australian Window Association, an active ABN, and evidence of public liability insurance. Check for compliance with relevant safety standards for corded coverings, use of child‑safe cordless or wand options where children are present, and an installer label affixed after installation.
