From the moment we contacted Meg at Concrete Gem Services, the entire process was a breeze. Her professionalism and knowledge was second to none, with communication skills to match. Leading up to the work commencing, Meg would keep us updated on days and dates and what would occur on each of these. Phil and Jason were excellent workers and along with Meg formed a fantastic team. It was evident that both Phil and Jason enjoyed the work that they did and had pride in every aspect of it. One of the key points for us was that Meg would come to our house each day to ensure we were happy with what had been completed and then communicated what was to be done that day. Overall we couldn't have been happier with the outcome and would highly recommend Concrete Gem Services to anyone wanting a first class job. We now have the best driveway in the street. You might thinking seeing a company get 5 out of 5 stars is a litte wierd but after working with Meg/Phil and their team at concrete gem - you'll realise that if there was a 6 out of 5, they'd be getting that. They helped us with a crossover for the duplex + footpath we built (no existing crossover) and I have to say without a doubt Meg, Phil and their team are absolutely incredible in terms of customer service and also the quality of work. If I had an option to give a 6 out of 5 stars I would have. Things that made the work and experience with them amazing: - Professional all the way through the process (from quoting/providing recommendations in beginning all the way through to completion) - Patient and understanding - we aren't in the construction business and Meg was so patient and stepped us through the process (pros/con and anything that could impact the quality etc) and gave recommendation for us to ultimately decide - Helped liaising with council to ensure everything got ticked off from that perspective - Continuous updates - this really helped build confidence in the quality of the work and meant we didn't need to chase it up ourselves - You could feel Meg genuinely cared in providing a quality result and recommendation in the place we would call our home. (We were asking for her thoughts and recommendation about other work regarding landscaping as well) Honestly if you want a team who delivers quality work, with no headaches. I'd definitely be recommending Meg/Phil and their team. The other part which I felt very appreciative off, was theadvice Meg was giving us in terms of not just the concreting of the cross over but also advice regarding other concreting around the house that we are looking to do as well.

There's no pleasing some people.... we are not those people. We are so happy with the final product. It was a process to finally getting around to concreting - we were stuffed around by other guys. Finally contacted Concrete Gem Services following a recommendation - they were recommended on quality and professionalism. Two thumbs up because that's exactly what these guys deliver on! You get what you pay for. If you are someone who goes for the cheapest around maybe look elsewhere, but if you want the job done properly and done when they say it's going to be, go to Meg and Phil at Concrete Gem. Not only are they easy to get on with and flexible to work with, they ensure the client is happy and work with you to get a great outcome - as the photos attest to!

TL;DR: If you're after a concreter who is responsive, trustworthy, honest, reliable and decently priced, you need not look further. It was a pleasure working with Meg, Phillip and the team on our concreting requirement. Despite the small nature of the job, Meg was responsive from the get-go and so very organised! Having dealt with a lot of contractors, I was quite impressed with the level of knowledge, professionalism and thinking displayed by them. We organised everything via email and all correspondence from Meg was clear and concise. On the 1st day of the job, we met onsite to go through the requirements one last time and finalise any questions the team had with the layouts. On pouring day, Meg was everywhere ensuring that all was going to plan. But Phillip and the team knew exactly what they were doing and did a bang up job of installing the ground socket of our Hills hoist as well. Then once the concreting work was done, they did a good clean of the areas they could and apologised for the areas they couldn't as it was too near the fresh concrete. It's very rare to come across a team like that. Our bricklayer came to check the fence foundations later the same day it was poured and you know you're onto a good thing when a brickie says that was a very professional job and was relieved it was all done very well. Thank you Meg, Phillip and the team once again for the wonderful work you guys have done.

Meg and her team has done my crossover relocation, driveway, fence, side gate and pathways. They are my number one preference because they have done everything fantastic so far. And another great thing is whenever I call or text, Meg always respond me in a timely manner, always keep me undated, give me good suggestions, etc. Great service, great work, great people!!!!

Concrete Gem Services is not only great at what they do but they are a great example of small business at its best. Meg runs the show and her partner Philip gets the hard work done. Both are clearly competent and trustworthy. The pricing was clear and reasonable, the communication was impeccable and, best of all from my viewpoint, they were very much across the finer details of the job, including dealing with the council for the inspection of the new crossover. What a delight to come across a business where good customer service and work ethic is alive and well!
