3rd Gen Concreting

I decided to message Cristian as I had recently moved into a newly belt home, but was extremely disappointed with my backyard and the concreting layout for multiple reasons Prior to this, the concrete and garden area was an absolute mess and the concrete had been awfully painted over (just look at how dull it looks in the first picture) with no sealant and had already began to flake and scratch within 3 months, and I had very little room to create my own little outdoor area. Thanks to Cristian and his team, my backyard now looks excellent and I can finally achieve my desired results in my backyard. Cristian of “3rd Gen Concreting” listened to my needs and answered all my questions, clarifying any concerns and most importantly was a problem solver. I have early onset Parkinson’s and fall prevention is a very important consideration. My heritage listed home in Coburg sits on a slight but noticeable slope. Cristian, like an engineer, used his expertise to look at the water flow at the side of the house and cleverly facilitate the flow of water on the new concrete to run away from the house thus preventing any possible structural issues. At the front of my home, we created a new pedestrian pathway from the fence. Cristian planned a gentle ramp up to my front porch (rather than steps) where he wisely suggested placing drainage at the base of the incline to ease any future flooding. Lastly, Cristian and the impressive hard working Josh, his right handed man, meticulously measured and laid a ‘rebated slab’ for my shed - a small step was crafted into the slab to help keep the shed waterproof. Nothing was a problem that couldn’t be resolved. The project was spread over almost 3.5 days - excavation, framing, pouring and cutting. Cristian and Josh were both impressive, hardworking, punctual and totally focused on the best outcome for me their client . They even finished the concrete with textured brushstrokes to prevent slippage. All throughout the process they kept me updated with every step. Thank you for taking great care of my concreting needs. I have a new respect for concreting … it’s an art and you have delivered it with excellence.

Cristian and Josh did a great job on the aggregate under my patio and small courtyard. The colour and stone profile chosen has transformed the space. Cristian was easy to communicate with and I felt comfortable dealing with him. He was even accommodating when I needed to push back the start date. Christian and all the guys at 3rd Gen where amazing. Christian gave me a quote that was much cheaper than the rest so he got the job. The guys that came and did the work where awesome. Early to the worksite and then started early. The job was better than expected. The guys cleaned everything before they left. They even layed coloured concrete for me at no charge to myself which is just something you never see with tradies today. It’s a shame other companies are not like this.
