Ben and his team were meticulous with our Render job. From the first meeting, discussing our requirements, through to timely quoting and start date as per plan. Site was left clean and tidy each day and the finish is superb. We’ve had builders come by for other work and have all asked who did our render work, as they think it was done so well. Ben and his team have just insulated and rendered our 1950s monocrete house in O'Connor. It's made a massive difference to the temperature, because the thermal mass is protected from the exterior cold. The flexible render should also prevent the house expanding and contracting in Summer....goodbye to cracked paint when the expansion joints shift! We can highly recommend Ben and the Ideal Group. We came to them through a neighbour -- also a monocrete insulation -- and found them just as promised. Ben assessed the house, advised us extensively, and provided an accurate quote so that we could budget and organise around our other big project of replacing the windows. Ben's team work well together and are all helpful and friendly -- happy to just get on and apply their expertise, but also to explain things if you want to understand what's happening. Particular thanks are due to Antonio, one of the foremen, who reworked and reworked the insulation to deal with some complex corners, just as if it was his own house. We have no experience of building or renovation, but thanks to Ben and the team, the process was much less stressful than expected. Ben knows his stuff, and is highly experienced with Canberra's extreme climate. The job started exactly when he said it would and finished on time. He kept us up-to-date with progress, and was unfazed and proactive in dealing with any issues. He also took care of the logistics, recommending a plumber who liaised direct with Ben's team about the hot water unit, drainpipes etc. so that we didn't have to keep track of the different stages. Ben's team all tease him about his obsession with getting the job done right, but it's obvious that they respect Ben as an employer and a professional, and you can't get a better recommendation than that. For renovators who have no idea what they're doing and who need an expert they can trust, the Ideal Group really are who you need! The walls around my swimming pool area were in a pretty bad shape with render peeling off and rust from the beads breaking through to the surface. Ben and his team fixed it all up for me. They were extremely professional with meticulous attention to details. They protected all the traffic areas and cleaned up afterwards. I couldn't be happier. You can see that they have great pride in their job, which is rightly justified.
