I originally had another quote for the attic storage area, initially I was going with that company but thought I would get The Attic Guys in for a quote. They went through all my requirements and the different products ie ladders ,windows and fan options. Mat explained everything throughly and what the difference was. The quote was also a couple of grand cheaper. Not that was the deciding factor. The point that Mat was wholly responsible from start to finish was my deciding factor as well as being able to fit the job in a short notice. The fitting of the window took an extra day due to glorious Melbourne weather, but the job was completed at the promised time. All the parts used were quality and the ladder and loft door is solid and top quality. Super happy with the extra space. Quality job and highly recommend Mat from The Attic Guys if you need to convert your loft to gain some extra storage.👍

We had considered a storage attic for some time. Of course, once you start thinking / talking about it and researching it the algorithms get to work and you are inundated with a flood of well-crafted social media adds from various companies who specialise in attics. We got 3 quotes – including one from such social media adds. The thing is with Mat – you are dealing with the guy that does the job. Not a salesman. Not someone who is going to use a Google Earth image to estimate the size of the space - then stick his head in the man hole for 30 seconds and tell you “Yes sure we can do this this and this and give you this many square meters” and sell you something that will cost X thousands of dollars – that when you have really good look at the structure of your building and determine what is safe and actually possible is very different. It’s a shame it’s getting harder and harder to find tradesman like Mat. Hard working, genuine, and doing a great job at a fair price. He knows his stuff and is very straight up offering sound advice and work with what is best for you - not get the most cash for him. He went above the call of duty and supported us with extra advice that proved invaluable at no extra charge that helped us sort out a couple of other minor issues and repairs ourselves. The job did have one hitch in that the ladder he ordered was delayed by the company who supplies them ( he only uses the best quality ) Even when it did not go to plan Mat was clear in his communication and kept us up to date – came back in a very timely manner and completed the job. To be honest we both enjoyed the chance to see him again more than being worried about the minor delay! All in all – Mat is a highly qualified builder who has your best interest at heart. He does and outstanding job, goes out of his way to be as unobtrusive as possible, and is genuine and honest. We could not be happier with the result and how Mat did the job. And have since had a new skylight installed by Mat also – same high-quality product and workmanship. If you are looking at getting it done with an amazing result – don’t waste your time with the slick marketing campaigns. Just book it in. Thanks so much Mat. Simon & Sara :))
