Thanks to Luke and the team at Disability Relief for the work they undertook at my parent's house. Throughout the process they were professional, reliable and very knowledgeable. Luke removed my parent's shower screen and installed a safety curtain in its place. The end result was excellent and he ensured that everything was cleaned up and all rubbish was taken away.

I highly recommend Luke and the Team at Disability Relief. They installed a ramp, hand rails (inside and out) and some non slip mats at my mums home. I feel so much better now, knowing she is safer living on her own! Thank you so much! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Carpentry costs & guides

Frequently asked questions

How much do carpenters typically charge?
Carpentry costs vary widely depending on the job. Simple trim or door hanging is usually less than internal framing, small outdoor structures or timber repairs that require more labour and materials. Most carpenters charge a call-out fee plus an hourly labour rate, with after-hours work attracting higher rates; this page shows live local pricing to help you compare quotes.
Do carpenters charge call-out fees?
Call-out fees are common and typically cover travel and the initial assessment. These fees are usually charged separately from hourly labour and materials. After-hours attendance is often charged at a higher rate, so confirm any call-out or minimum fees when requesting quotes.
Do carpenters need a licence in Australia?
Yes. Carpentry work is generally required to be carried out by a licensed tradesperson in every Australian state and territory. In NSW, licences are administered by Building Commission NSW (formerly NSW Fair Trading). You should expect providers to display a valid state building or trade licence on quotes and advertising, and to hold an ABN, public liability insurance and industry memberships such as HIA or Master Builders.
Does Disability Relief have a verified ABN?
Yes. Disability Relief has completed ABN verification on SureQuote.
How do I get a quote from Disability Relief?
Disability Relief lists phone or through their website on this profile, so you can contact them directly for pricing and availability. Share a short scope and photos to get a faster quote.
